Service Overview

We take over the running of cloud infrastructure so your engineers can build product instead of maintaining the platform underneath it. That covers the whole operational surface: infrastructure defined as code so nothing exists that is not reviewable, environments that genuinely match, network and IAM configured to least privilege, patching and upgrades handled on a schedule rather than after an incident, and monitoring that pages a human only when a human is needed. We work across AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure, and we prefer managed services over self hosted equivalents unless there is a specific reason, because the operational cost of running your own database or message broker is usually larger than the licence saving. Cost is treated as an ongoing discipline rather than a one off review: tagging so spend is attributable to teams and features, rightsizing against observed usage, committed use pricing where the baseline is predictable, and non production environments that shut down outside working hours.

Key Features

  • AWS, GCP, Vercel, and hybrid cloud deployment architecture
  • Docker and Kubernetes setup for scalable workloads
  • Terraform infrastructure-as-code for repeatable environments
  • CI/CD pipelines with staging, preview, and production releases
  • Cost optimization for compute, networking, storage, and databases
  • Monitoring, logging, uptime checks, and alerting
  • Backup, rollback, and disaster-recovery planning
  • Security baselines for secrets, IAM, TLS, and environment isolation
  • Infrastructure as code covering every environment, with no manual resources
  • Least privilege IAM and network segmentation
  • Scheduled patching and managed service version upgrades
  • Cost tagging, attribution, and anomaly alerting
  • Rightsizing against observed usage rather than initial guesses
  • Non production environments scheduled to shut down when unused

Our Delivery Process

We use an agile, transparent process to ensure your project is completed on time and meets exactly your needs.

01

Infrastructure audit

We review your hosting, environments, deployment process, cloud bills, security posture, incident history, and scaling needs.

2-4 days
02

Target architecture

We propose the cloud layout, deployment pipeline, network boundaries, secret handling, observability, backup strategy, and cost controls.

3-5 days
03

Automation and migration

We codify infrastructure, configure CI/CD, migrate workloads safely, and set up preview/staging/production workflows.

1-3 weeks
04

Operate and optimize

We tune scaling policies, alerts, dashboards, runbooks, and cost reports so the system remains predictable after launch.

Why Us

Why Choose SoftwareCrafting?

  • Fewer manual deployment mistakes
  • Lower monthly cloud spend through right-sizing and policy cleanup

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you manage our existing AWS or Vercel setup?

Yes. We can audit and improve your current setup without forcing a migration. Common fixes include environment separation, CI/CD, logging, cost controls, secret management, and safer rollback workflows.

Do we need Kubernetes?

Not always. For many SaaS products, Vercel, ECS, managed databases, and queues are enough. We recommend Kubernetes only when the operational benefits justify the added complexity.

Can you reduce our cloud bill?

Usually, yes. We look at unused resources, oversized instances, networking costs, storage lifecycle rules, database plans, build minutes, and scaling policies before changing architecture.

Do you provide ongoing monitoring?

Yes. We can set up dashboards, alerts, uptime checks, on-call runbooks, and monthly infrastructure reviews as part of a managed cloud engagement.

What does managed infrastructure actually include?

Infrastructure as code and environment management, monitoring and alerting, patching and version upgrades, backup and recovery testing, security and access reviews, cost management, and incident response. The scope and response times are agreed explicitly at the start so there is no ambiguity about what is covered.

Can you work with our existing setup rather than rebuilding it?

Yes, and that is the normal case. We start by importing existing resources into infrastructure as code so the current state is captured and reviewable, then improve incrementally in priority order. Rebuilding from scratch is rarely justified and always riskier than it looks.

How quickly do you respond to incidents?

Response times are part of the agreement and depend on the tier you choose, with defined targets for critical and non critical issues. Alerting routes to whoever is on call, and every alert links to a runbook so the response does not depend on one person being awake and available.

Which cloud provider should we be on?

Usually the one you are already on, because migration costs are real and the differences between the major providers matter less than people expect for typical application workloads. AWS has the broadest service catalogue, Google Cloud has strengths in data and machine learning tooling, and Azure suits organisations already committed to Microsoft. We only recommend a move where there is a concrete reason.
